Visual Identity

The Paul Emmett Music logo brings together two simple ideas: writing and music.

At the centre of the design is a fountain pen nib with a musical note tucked inside it. It reflects the practical act of writing music, but also the wider work behind it: composition, arranging, orchestration, teaching, conducting, and communication.

The logo is designed to feel clean, direct, and readable, like a well-prepared score.

The colours

The colour palette uses soft, muted tones: pink, sage, mustard, lavender, slate, taupe, and stone.

These colours give the brand variety without making it feel loud. They work across different parts of the site, from composition and conducting to teaching, press materials, cover artwork, and online resources.

A simple black and white version is also used where clarity matters most.
