He aims to make rehearsals focused and useful, helping players and singers understand what matters most in the time available. His background as a composer, arranger, teacher, and performer gives him a strong understanding of score preparation, rehearsal pacing, ensemble balance, and communication.

Whether working with amateur players, students, community ensembles, singers, or project-based groups, Paul focuses on clarity, confidence, musical shape, and making the rehearsal process productive.

Paul is Musical Director of Nottinghamshire Police Band and has recently worked with ensembles including Sleaford Concert Band, Melismata, Voxicology, and University of Nottingham ensembles.
