Teaching

  • Yes. I teach beginners of all ages, including complete first-timers. Lessons are tailored to suit the learner, whether you're a child just starting out or an adult picking it up for the first time.

  • Generally from age 6 and up. If your child is younger but shows strong musical interest, I’m happy to discuss options.

  • Yes. You can book a one-off lesson to try it out, get feedback on a piece, or prepare for an exam or performance.

  • Absolutely. I offer dedicated lessons in music theory and composition, from beginner to advanced level, including GCSE and A-Level support.

  • Yes. I teach online using Zoom and other platforms. I can work with students from anywhere in the UK or internationally.

  • Bring any music you’ve worked on before (if any), a notebook, and a willingness to learn. If it’s an online lesson, make sure your setup allows me to see your keyboard clearly.

Composing

  • Yes. I regularly compose original works for soloists, choirs, wind bands, orchestras, film, and theatre. Get in touch with your idea and we’ll work out the details.

  • Yes. I offer arranging and orchestration services for individuals, ensembles, and organisations. I’ve worked on everything from musical theatre to concert band arrangements.

  • I work across a wide range of styles including classical, contemporary, cinematic, and educational music. I’ve written electroacoustic music and sound design as well.

  • Yes. I’ve arranged many pop, musical theatre, and film pieces for school groups and community ensembles. I can tailor each arrangement to suit the exact instrumentation and ability level.

  • It depends on the length and complexity of the piece. A short solo work may take a week or two; a full band or choral piece could take several weeks. I’ll give you a clear timeframe when we agree the brief.

  • Yes. I’ve composed music for short films, podcasts, and live performance projects. I enjoy creating music that supports narrative and emotion.
